January In Instagram

I talk about the pictures clockwise starting from  the top left.
1. There was a huge snowstorm just a couple days ago. So I actually had to wear my winter boots which did not make me happy because I am really not a winter clothing person.
2. I started reading "Paper Towns" by John Green. I'm only half way through but I definitely recommend it.
3. Today I painted hearts on to an old pair of leggings. It worked out really well and definitely plan to wear them on Valentine's day.
4. I've started occasionally wearing collared tops under sweaters. It's definitely a more preppy look but I think it's neat.

Summer In January

Ready for Summer

I went shopping yesterday, and guess what, every single store already has spring and summer stuff out! Me being a summer lover fell for buying clothes I can't actually wear for another 4 months, but whatever. I bought the mint high-low skirt pictured above as well as sunglasses similar to the ones above from Forever 21. The skirt is not something I would normally purchase but I just thought it was really cool and be fun to style. So above is what I might style it with!

Classy In Cream

Classy Cream

I just discovered Polyvore which is this really cool site which you can use to create outfits. It's so much easier than doing it on Photoshop! If you're in to that kind of thing I totally recommend it. Above is the first set I created using the website.

Fall Into Winter Outfit

I think this outfit I "created" is a great transitional one between fall and winter. If you need to make it appropriate for warmer weather ditch the had and super tall boots. For colder weather add a blazer or some other type of jacket.

Fashion's Night Out

I heard about an H&M having a Fashion's Night out event so I decided to check it out. They where handing out lemonade and had a DJ but it was nothing compared to Holt Renfrew's event. I don't actually think it was connected to Fashion's Night Out but it was really cool. There was free Coke in pink bottles, popcorn, noise makers, and party hats cause it was their 175th birthday. To finish it up there was a light show featuring all things fashion.

Autumn Arm Candy

Lately this has been my favourite arm candy combination. From left to right, pearls from Forever 21, a bracelet set from H&M, and a gold bangle from Sea Jewels. I think it's a good combination for summer but also great for fall.

Project Pointless

I'm always in awe of the unpractical ideas presented in magazines for home decor. Things like leaving shelves empty, stacking empty antique suit cases, and finally having random books lying around when you have a book shelf. While I've decided to take a go at one of those unpractical ideas and stack some books even though I still have room on my book shelf.
I'm actually quite enjoying the look. We'll have to wait and see though cause I'll get tired of moving everything off of the books when I want to read them, and then putting everything back.

DIY: Transforming A Top

These are some really cool DIY videos that I've come across. These two ideas are great for transforming a top that needs some revamping. I've tried out the idea in the second video and it actually worked out really well!

Fall Fashion

This is a video I made featuring three outfits that I think would be great for fall.
Hope you enjoy!

Arts & Crafts Time

While cleaning up under my bead I found some old arts and crafts stuff like a Klutz paper fashion kit. So I decided to make a paper dress (anything to avoid cleaning the mess under my bed) and this is what it turned out looking like. I ended up putting mine in a picture frame and I've found it's a great edition to my room.

Coral Pants & Instagram

These American Eagle jeggings caught my attention right away, how could the not they're the brightest pants ever. I adore the coral colour because its perfect for summer but I can't wear them because it's so hot outside, so I plan on returning them. They don't suit fall at all, the colour is almost anti fall. If I find similar pants next spring I'll pick up a pair but for now it's good bye to the coral pants.

Fall Style

This is my inspiration board for Fall style. It's sad to think about jackets and school in the summer but I thought I'd be prepared for when Fall comes around.

Statement Earrings!

I was inspired to purchase these earrings at Forever 21 because of an article in Teen Vogue's March 2012 issue about statement earrings. These aren't huge statement earrings but I think they're good enough and I love the colour! Some other semi statement earrings I have that I think fit the trend are feather earrings and blue diamond studs (fake obviously). I like this trend because like neon (which has been in for a long time) it will be around for a while.

Feather Earring Inspiration

I purchased these feather earrings at Sea Jewels. I love them because they're really simple and because I've been looking for a cheep pair of feather earrings for a while. Here's some of my inspiration.

Golden Summer Arm Candy

I recently went on a trip to Sea Jewels (an accessory store that sells other random stuff) and I picked up the gold feather/leaf bracelet as well as the gold with blue beads bracelet. The golden chain bracelet is from ASOS, and I absolutely love this bracelet because I find it goes with a lot. This combination of bracelets is something that I think is great for summer!

Studded Phone Case

(Not my photo, I found it here)
(Not my photo, I found it on Tumblr)
A goal I have for this summer is to make one of these studded phone cases. I think they're super cute! Maybe cute isn't the best word to describe studs but you know what I mean. I think I'm going to make a gold and white one in the pattern above or place the studs in a big C for Chloe.
I've found a lot of videos online on how to make them so I thought I'd share some good ones incase anyone wants to try out this super neat DIY project.

Kensington Market Photo Diary

I went to Kensington Market this weekend and took some pictures so I thought I'd do a photo diary.

The picture above and below are both from a couple of vintage stores. A lot of the clothing didn't really seem like something I would wear but it was really cool and entertaining to look at all of the pieces.

Someone was just selling these feather extensions on the street and they look really cool!

My amazing food for the day!

I found this large collection of sodas and such in a store and was quite fascinated by all of the selection.

For a view of these pictures I used Instagram to edit them. If you want to follow to follow me my name is allthatshinesforever. I know some people couldn't care less but I thought I'd let you know.
Thanks for reading!

Colour Blocking Bracelets From ASOS

I bought these five bracelets from ASOS.com lying on my couch with a flu a few weeks ago and it really gave me a sense of accomplishment because I hadn't done anything but watch old movies for the past three days. I was attracted to these because of the bright colours and low price of about $3. These bracelets made me excited about arm candy and I think they're great because they fulfil the colour blocking trend.
