Kensington Market Photo Diary

I went to Kensington Market this weekend and took some pictures so I thought I'd do a photo diary.

The picture above and below are both from a couple of vintage stores. A lot of the clothing didn't really seem like something I would wear but it was really cool and entertaining to look at all of the pieces.

Someone was just selling these feather extensions on the street and they look really cool!

My amazing food for the day!

I found this large collection of sodas and such in a store and was quite fascinated by all of the selection.

For a view of these pictures I used Instagram to edit them. If you want to follow to follow me my name is allthatshinesforever. I know some people couldn't care less but I thought I'd let you know.
Thanks for reading!

Cupcakes Galore

I celebrated my birthday with my grandmother, she went a bit over bored and ordered 24 cupcakes for only 9 people! There is nothing wrong with delicious leftovers so I'm not judging. The cupcakes are from a store called the Cake Box and they where so good. I didn't get to try every flavour but my favourite was the red velvet.

Valentine's Day Cupcakes

I baked these chocolate cupcakes with vanilla butter cream icing. My favourite part about these cupcakes are the liners because they're lined with foil so you can't see through them. The liners are definitely the perfect touch because they're pink and Valentine's Day is coming up.
(Have you noticed that Valentine's Day is the exception for pink and red going together.)

Colds, Thanksgiving, & Vaseline

(Beside the Vaseline is a maple cupcake I made)
Vaseline always seems to be lying around my house. A while ago I heard that it was bad to put on your lips but I looked it up and apparently the kind you buy at the drugstore are fine to put on your lips. This weekend I had a cold so my lips ended up being really dry so I applied some Vaseline. It really helped moisturize and give some shine. It's also nice to put something on your lips that doesn't really have any flavour so you can focus on all the good food 'cause it was Thanksgiving. Just like Thanksgiving Vaseline has been around for a long time.

All Things Sweet

Jam packed days are always fun but you need something to give you a bit of extra energy to last through swimming, shopping, and then midnight manicures (I used Pansy by Essie which is a really nice colour). I find that cupcakes do just the trick especially when they're cute. Which these pie inspired ones definitely are.

My cousins and I found this idea in a book called What's New, Cupcake? by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson. One of my cousins showed it to me yesterday and I'm already in love with the book because of all the amazing ideas. Making the cupcakes was fun because we used 3 packs of M&M's and there were lots of leftovers (yum).

'Cause it's Monday I also thought I'd post about a lip product.

This lip balm in by Lip Smacker and is in the flavour Cotton Candy which I though suited this post well because so far it's been about sweet treats. This balm moisturizes your lips but also gives them a somewhat shiny finish. Hope you enjoyed.

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes, Who Knew

Today I found a recipe for Pink Lemonade Cupcakes on this blog. The recipe is actually from a blog called Food Coma but I couldn't find the recipe there. While I was surfing through the site I found some pretty tasty looking recipes though. Below are pictures of my attempt at making these delicious cupcakes.

A Small Sweet Treat

I don't have much of a sweet tooth but I'm a sucker for cute, random, small, and pointless things like cup cake mints. I picked these up at a candy store on the car ride to where I was going camping. The mints taste a lot like marshmallows (which I don't actually like) but the tin is so cute so it's worth it. The company that made them is called Acoutrements. I was looking on their website and they sell things like Mac & Cheese Bandages (weird right) and Inflatable Cupcakes. I mean, come on, really, who needs an inflatable cupcake?

Cupcake Cuteness

This past weekend I went to an arts and craft show. They had things like pieces of visual art, clothing, accessories, and food. I ended up getting these really cute magnets with cupcakes on them (sorta random).
They're by an artist who calls her line of necklaces, magnets, and note cards carolyn draws. I really liked all of her art and I love the magnets I bought which are called Icing-On-The-Cake Super Magnets. I love them because they're really strong so they can hold a pretty thick piece of paper and because they look so cute.
Which one of the magnets is your favourite?

Coach and Cupcakes

(Cupcakes!!!)

(Chocolate and Peanut Butter)

(Strawberry)

(Cute Pink Label On The Box)

(Chocolate)

(Poppy Wristlet From Coach)

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday with my grandmother and instead of getting a classic birthday cake we got cupcakes from a store called Cake Box. The store is sorta like a Apple store except they sell cupcakes. Not only is the store beautiful they also have beautiful cupcakes that actually taste good. They have tons of options like peanut butter, strawberry, raspberry, mint, rocky road, coconut, then your classic chocolate, and vanilla. Not only did cupcakes come my way so did this really cute Coach wallet from the Poppy line.
Overall it was a pretty sweet day!
