Red Velvet Lips

The first time I put on this Revlon Lip Butter in the colour Red Velvet I was really disappointed because the colour seemed super dark. After trying it out a couple of times though I've grown to love it. If you dab it on your lips it gives you a "I just ate raspberries tint" and when you apply it intensely it is actually flattering. The only thing I have against this products is that after the second application it dries out your lips a bit so I try to pair it with a lip balm.

Christmas Lips

These are some of my favourite lip products and they all happen to be Christmas themed so they make good Christmas gifts. 

Tinsel Town is by Philosophy it's sticky but it lasts for a long time, has tons of pigment, and shine.

This gloss my Maybelline isn't marketed as a Christmas product but it definitely could be one because it smells like candy canes. This is a pretty basic lip gloss but it's good.

This Lip Smackers lip balm in Candy Cane Treat was one of my first lip balms and it's amazing. It smells SO good and is really moisturizing. It may sound weird but I like putting this on after I brush my teeth at night because it doesn't clash with the minty flavour of tooth paste. The lip balm in the back is my Simple Pleasures and has a really amazing vanilla scent (sometimes I feel like eating, but I don't). It also had a lot of moisture.

August Favorites

These have been my favourite products in the month of August. 

From left to right the Body Shops Aloe Eye Defence which has made putting on under eye concealer a lot easier and Urban Decay's eyeliner in Zero which I love applying to my water line to define my eyes. For lips I've been loving CoverGirls Outlast lip stain in the colour 400 I love this cause it last for a while but doesn't dry out my lips, another CoverGirl product but this one being a gloss/balm in the colour Sandstone this is a perfect creamy pink sparkly colour, and finally an EOS lip balm in Honey Suckle which great for lots of moisture. A face product that has been really useful is OXY's face cleansing pads which are great for removing oil from your face. That's it for my favourites hope you enjoyed.

Peach Passion

This is such a raved about product that when I put it on I was expecting fireworks to start exploding, but no such thing seemed to occur. It does have a great texture and slight fragrance of vanilla but it's the colour I wasn't too fond of. The colour looks a) nothing like a peach (that's alright though) and b) nothing like the lid which is misleading. The colour, although not what I thought it would be, lasts for a long time without drying out my lips. 

July Favorites

These are my favourite beauty products of the month. I like watching these types of videos on YouTube so I thought I'd make a blog version.

This eyeshadow pallet that I got sent when I ordered a subscription from 17 magazine has been something that I use quite often. I especially love the colour that has the big dent in it, it's a beautiful gold bronze colour that is perfect summer.

This is the brush for Maybelline's Falsies Volum' Express mascara in the water proof formula which has been great for summer. I also really like the colour of the packaging. 

This Essie nail polish called Turquoise and Caicos is definitely talked about a lot and I see why. It's a beautiful colour! Paired with this Aziza clear polish for a base and top coat it lasts for a good week without needing to change it.

In the background of this picture is Joico's Daily Care Conditioning Shampoo which I only just discovered this month and I'm glad I did 'cause it makes my hair look and feel good.

These two peach coloured/flavoured products have been my favourite lip products for the month of July. On the left Maybelline's Shine Sensational lip gloss in Peach Sorbet and on the left Revlon's lip butter in Peach Parfait. They are both natural colours but give your lips just the right amount of colour.

Pineapple Fizz Lip Gloss

The scent of this Revlon lip gloss makes me want to eat it! It's in the flavor Pineapple Fizz and that's exactly what it smells like, pineapple mixed with a sparkling soda. This gloss has a bit of sparkle and a lot of shine. It doesn't have any colour but that's good because I don't think anyone wants yellow lips. If there was a beauty product I'd want to become a food I think it would be this.

As Water Proof As A Lip Gloss Gets

I've already posted about this but I just had to share an amazing discovery about this Philosophy lip gloss. It's waterproof, while water proof enough. I applied this, went swimming, felt like there was something sticky on my lip, and realized that the lip gloss was still there. Although I have Christmas themed flavours I'll totally be using these all summer long.

Fresh Lip Treatments

I'm signed up as a beauty insider with Sephora and I was really excited when I got an e-mail saying I could go to the store and pick up my birthday gift. I was actually a bit sceptical thinking I would have to purchase something to get the gift, but I didn't. 

I got these two mini size Fresh lip treatments. The one called sugar is a clear lip balm and the other one is a tinted lip balm. They both work really well and they both have SPF however I find they smell more like lemons than roses. But when life gives you lemons . . . I was trying to think of something to add but I really can't thing of anything that sounds good.

Baby Lips Return

I picked up another Maybelline Baby Lips! This time I got one in the colour Pink Punch. 

A few months ago these were a very talked about product just like those Revlon lip butters (I was thinking about buying one of those in an orange colour called Tutti Fruitty but I wasn't sure if orange lips is a good look). I really like this tinted lip balm because the packaging is amazing, actually has quite a bit of colour, and it smells just like fruit punch!

One Gloss Per Week Complete

So a year ago today I started my blog which means I have completed my goal of 52 glosses, one for each week!!!  I thought I'd share this giant collage of almost every lip gloss post I've done.

Mission Gloss Completed

These are the more neutral and clear shades in the Bonne Bell lip lights set. I really like these ones because they look natural but still noticeable. These are great glosses because they have a lot of colour but they aren't sticky. The creamy one is in the colour cappuccino, the brown glittery one is cocoa frosting, and the clear one is marshmallow whip. I really like the names especially because they go perfectly with the colour.

P.S I just completed my goal of 52 glosses one for each week of the year today!

Pink Sweet Treats

I got these 2 glosses in a cute set of 5 from Bonne Bell they're called liplites. These are the 2 pink ones that came in the set. I really like them because they have amazing pigment on your lips. The one on the left is in the flavour raspberry sorbet  and the one on the right is cream pop.

Moisturizing Honeydew

For Christmas I got the eos honeysuckle and honey dew lip balm smooth sphere. I've seen the ads for them in magazines a lot and the ads are what made we want the lip balm. Above is my picture trying to imitate the ad.

The lip balm has such a nice flavour and moisturizes very well. 

Tinsel Town Philosophy

I can't believe there is less than one week till Christmas! It's time to post about the final lip gloss in my Much Mistletoeing Philosophy set which is Tinsel Town. 

This is my favourite one because when it's on your lips it's the same colour as it is in the tube. It also has an amazing minty scent and a lot of sparkle/shine just like tinsel. 

Baby Lips Are Here

I saw an ad for Baby Lips lip balm by Maybelline about 2 months ago and ever since then I've been on the look out for them. I finally found them today at Loblaws! They come in 6 different flavours and I decided to get "Peach Kiss". It has SPF 20 which is great and is supposed to moisturize your lips. I've only had it for one day and it seems to be keeping my lips moist. 

This one has a tiny bit of colour but not a lot. It gives your lips that no makeup, makeup look because it makes your lips look smooth and gives them just a smidgen of shine. The effects of it are nice but it's the packaging that is the deal breaker.

Clogs & Blogs

A few days ago was St.Nicolas Day so I decided to do a post about a lip product from Holland which is Purol's lip balm. This balm is so moisturizing and has a natural but really pleasant smell. In the picture there are also some spicy cookies and some half milk half bittersweet chocolate, which I'm eating right now. 

Minty Coffee Anyone?

The absolute best part of this gloss is the flavour. It doesn't actually smell like marshmallows it smells just like a minty coffee. It has a strong scent which is nice, but I put it with some other glosses and they took on the scent which is annoying. It has a really pretty sparkly finish and is from the Much Mistletoeing Philosophy lip gloss set. I'm so excited for the holidays especially because for me yesterday was the first snowfall for the season!

Christmas Time

This Philosophy lip gloss in the flavour Peppermint Bark is from the Much Mistletoeing set. I love the flavour because the flavour smells exactly like chocolate and candy cane. This gloss gives amazing shine and a hint of colour. 

I mainly love it because it reminds me so much of Christmas time.

Winter Lip Gloss Wish List

I'm really sorry about the lack of posts this week. One of the main reasons is because I couldn't get my camera to upload pictures onto my laptop (long story). But here is a lip gloss of the week post featuring my winter lip gloss wish list. All of them have loads of moisture, so I bet they would be perfect for these dry Winter seasons, and one of them is actually a body moisturizer that can be used on lips! 

Turns out the word "wishlist" is spelled "wish list". I discovered this after editing the photo.
