These Leaves Have Silver Linings

My latest obsession is rings! My favourite is this silver coloured ring from Aldo Accessories in the shape of 2 leaves that I got as a birthday gift. It's totally not your normal ring. 

Just to let you know, the skin that touches the ring might turn a bit green 'cause of the materials but to stop that you're supposed to put clear nail polish on the underside of the ring. My cousin told me that and I'm telling you because it's normal to have a green thumb but it's just weird to have a green finger.

Raise Your Claws

I was devastated when I heard about what happened in Japan but it's nice to know that celebrities feel the same way and take actions like Lady Gaga did. I was surfing the web when I found out about Lady Gaga's Earthquake Relief Wrist Bands. They're only $5, all the money goes to helping Japan, and they're pretty stylish. Even though they're only $5 they've made millions to help out Japan. I really like mine although it smells bad because of the plastic (that will fade though) and it's a bit big but it's making a big big difference. 

Let Your Pink Shine

It's Pink Day, which not only raises awareness to stop bullying it also gives you the opportunity to deck yourself out in pink, which I did. I wore a pink t-shirt, a pink flower clip in my hair, and 2 pink rings. I decided not to wear pink pants though 'cause I live in blue jeans. The 2 rings I wore were very playful and bright but today they sent a very important message.

A Peachy Treat

It was so nice outside yesterday, except for the random flash hailstorm I ran into, so I decided it was time to wear some light-coloured gloss. My fave light gloss is Maybelline's Shine Senational lip gloss in the colour of Peach Sorbet. I know I've blogged about other colours in that line but that`s only because they're really good and because I'm trying to get every one. This one has a pink shiny tint, really brightens up a face and it brightens up a day.

The Future Is Blue and Shiny

You know what would be a cool job, getting to name the colour of nail polish. It would probably be really fun 'cause anything sorta goes. For example I have a polish called "Guchi Muchi Puchi". The name makes it  really weird when someone asks you what colour you're wearing 'cause you have to reply with that. So after I got that I'm always expecting something really strange but when I got this blue sparkly Nicole by O.P.I. polish the name was completely normal. It was called "Rich In Spirit" which is nice but not out of the ordinary. I would have called it something like "Blue Robot" or "The Future Is Blue". None the less it's an extraordinary polish because the colour is great and it goes on really well which probably has something to do with the new perfect stroke brush they added to this polish. So the name might not be out of this world but the rest of it really is.

N Is For Nail File

It's my birthday so I'll be posting a lot about some new things I've gotten like cool earrings and of course, lip gloss. The first things I want to show you are these really awesome nail filers by Revlon. I'm in love with the designs and the colours. My favourite is the Paris one because I really want to go but it's sorta sad because  for now that emery board is as close as I'm gonna get.

The View Is Great

This afternoon I went for a jog and realized I'm sorta out of shape because after 1 km I got really tired then I just sorta walked the rest of the trail. 

My favourite part about jogging is getting to carry around a cool water bottle. Mine is a reusable purple Vapur water bottle. It's really neat because once you're done with it you can fold it up.

I also really like to buy running shoes. I didn't wear my nice ones though because they always end up getting really muddy. Today they got really wet because I sorta walked right through a puddle.

The final thing I liked about jogging was the amazing view.

Lip Gloss Where You Least Expect It

You know those stores that sell something normal like books but then you end up buying candy there instead? Well that's what happened to be except I ended up buying lip gloss. So I was shopping at Pier 1 when I found lipgloss which I thought was pretty weird considering it's a home furnishing store. I ended up buying the lip gloss. The flavour, which is Blueberry Parfait, is horrible if you get it in your mouth by accident but it's super shiny. The tube is really cute and makes your think of summer.

Cookies + 1000

I can't believed I reached 1000 page views! To celebrate I made chocolate chip cookies that spell out All That Shines. I wish I could share them with you because I only made them thanks to you. 

The Nail Polish Rainbow

I'm a big fan of nail polish because it's a whole other way to add to your outfit. I'm also a big fan of Shoppers Drug Mart because they have a large selection of really cool beauty products so while I was out shopping I found a few really daring nail polish colours that I think must be shared. ( Sorry the picture quality isn't so good, I was taking the shots from my i-Pod touch. )

I find this Nicole nail polish has a really rich colour but also looks really fun.

This sparkly gold colour screams "look at me" but in a good way.

Pretty In Pink

Yesterday it felt like spring and today it was snowing. (Something is seriously wrong with this world!) 

This Essie nail polish definitely brought up my mood though 'cause I think pink is a really happy and pretty colour. The nail polish is a bit runny and takes a long time to dry but the colour is amazing. The colour is called "Guchi Muchi Puchi". While wearing this polish I noticed that I have a lot of pink things in my house from spatulas to Sharpies. Pink polish might not be everybody's way out of a rainy day but it totally is for me.

Google is Lip Gloss's Best Friend

I'm obsessed with those Google Search Stories so I decided to make one about my blog. It's my first one so it's not the best. None the less I still hope you enjoy it.

Survivors

I'm on vacation in Kingston and while packing for just 1 night I made the decision of which 2 lip glosses I could live off for the rest of my life if I had to. The first one is Lip Smacker's Candy Cane Treat lip balm because it smells fresh and really moisturizes my lips. The second one is Natureluxe's gloss balm in the colour Muscat because it has a great colour and SPF 30. So those are the 2 lip glosses that I could live off for the rest of my life. Not that I would but if I was ever left on an island in the middle of nowhere that is what I would want to have with me.

What I Waste Lip Gloss On

There are very few things I waste lip gloss and lipstick on and that is Starbucks. I love how you personalize everything for your own taste. For example I don't like coffee so instead of getting a coffee-based frappuccino  I get it with cream. I also really like their "Caramel Apple Spice" and I know it might sound strange but I love their whipped cream! I'm not so in love with their prices but it's worth the money and the wasted lip gloss.

Soft As Silk

When I get my hair cut my hairdresser always tells me that my hair is so dry and that I need to buy a certain product. So I ended up buying Regis Designline Silk Drops Repair & Shine Serum. All you have to do is comb 2 drops through dry hair and it makes your hair soft and shiny. It's a nice product and it smells like roses and tulips put together. So really it's like having a flower garden on your head minus the dirt.
