Magazine Excitement

I was so excited to hear that Taylor Swift was on the cover of Vogue. I picked it up as soon as I found it even though I'd already read the article and seen the pictures on vogue.com. (How do they expect to sell lots of magazines if you can see a lot of magazine on their website for free?)
The pictures of Taylor Swift are really cool, they're definitely far off from her typical wardrobe though. I love the picture of her in a big floppy hat and knit sweater. Although thinking about when is the weather appropriate for sun hats and big sweater.

Vogue Is Cooler Than Textbooks

So school has officially started! It's now the season of textbooks but it's also Fashion Week. I don't live in New York and even if I did I couldn't get into the shows. I can always watch it online and pretend I was actually there. Fashion brings me to Vogue the ultimate fashion magazine which I just got the September issue of and boy, is it huge. It has 758 pages in it although I assume quite a lot of them are adds.
It's so much cooler than reading a textbook.

P.S In case you care, the bag that I used in these photos is a messenger bag from American Eagle.

Fashionable Reads

This past week I've read some really neat fashion reference books. Like 100 Years Of Fashion Illustration by Cally Beackman and Yves Saint Laurent by Berge Pierre. I'm also In the middle of reading a book called Vogue Fashion by Linda Watson.

1. 100 Years Of Fashion consists of really unique and interesting illustrations of fashion. I borrowed it from the library though cause it's a bit pricy at the cost of $50.

2. Vogue Fashion is an outline of fashion history and Vogue's role in it from the past 100 years.

3. Yves Saint Laurent is mostly only pictures but it also contains a short biography of Yves Saint Laurent.

My favourite out of the 3 was Vogue Fashion because I think the book covers a lot and is well written.
